The Washington Free Beacon has obtained a report soon to be released by the United Nations that calls for an international campaign of legal attacks and economic warfare on a group of American companies that do business in Israel, including Hewlett-Packard, Caterpillar Inc., and Motorola Solutions Inc.
In addition to legal action against American employees of targeted companies, the Special Rapporteur "concludes that all companies" that operate in or otherwise have dealings with Israeli 'settlements' should be boycotted."

Emergency management teams and utilities along the East Coast are bracing for what could be a $1 billion punch as Hurricane Sandy's 100 mph winds barrel toward the heavily populated region between the Carolina coast and Cape Cod.
The Category 2 storm, which swept through Cuba and blew toward the Bahamas, may combine with other, rain-heavy weather systems to create what meteorologists are calling a "perfect storm" that could wreak havoc from North Carolina to Massachusetts early next week. Sandy may bring tropical storm conditions along Florida’s southeastern coast by early Friday.

Syria's warring parties held their fire on Friday morning at the start of a four-day truce marking the Muslim holiday of Id al-Adha, a short pause in hostilities which have killed 32,000 people and threaten to draw regional powers into a wider conflict.
Syrian President Bashar Assad's armed forces announced a conditional cease-fire on Thursday evening, responding to an appeal by international mediator Lakhdar Brahimi. But they warned they would respond to any rebel attacks, or moves to exploit the truce to reinforce or resupply insurgents who are battling Assad's forces.
Britain rejects US request to use
UK bases in nuclear standoff with Iran
Britain has rebuffed US pleas to use military bases in the UK to support the build-up of forces in the Gulf, citing secret legal advice which states that any pre-emptive strike on Iran could be in breach of international law.
The Guardian has been told that US diplomats have also lobbied for the use of British bases in Cyprus, and for permission to fly from US bases on Ascension Island in the Atlantic and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, both of which are British territories.

Inspired by God
"The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day." - E. M. Bounds | ||
